KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Five riders from Team Kaos/Nebraska Medical Center rode in the 45th annual Tour of KC over the weekend, and all five came back a little frustrated. From breaks that didn't stick and crashes that stalled the field, Team Kaos saw it all over the three-day event.
Matt Landen's finishes in the Pro/1/2 races were representative of the weekend. "I tried to be aggressive but not kill myself if a move didn't look like
it would work," he said. "That usually meant attacking but not getting the right
mix of riders. The weekend can be summarized as me making the last move that didn't stick"
Landen finished 20th in Friday's KCK Criterium, 17th in Saturday's Cliff Drive Classic circuit race and in the pack around 25th in Sunday's Overland Park Criterium. Teammate Joe McWilliams also raced in the Cliff Drive Classic.
