ALTOONA, Iowa — Rich Pearson of Team Kaos/Alegent Health came away with a third-place finish in the Masters 45-plus category on Saturday at the Altonna Cross Weekend.
Despite a slow start, Pearson moved into second place after the first few laps. Soon after, his saddle came loose from the seatpost. After stopping to tighten it — and losing a minute in the process — he was able to get back on terms and into third place. He finished only 10 seconds behind the second-place finisher. z
