Team Kaos

Rich Pearson and Matt Farnham had a good weekend at the recent Jingle Cross Rock cyclocross races held in Iowa City Thanksgiving weekend.    Conditions were very muddy, with lots of broken derailleurs as the mud got gummed up in the pulleys.    Pearson started out the fun on Saturday in his Masters 55+ race where he came in 4th place. He was able to avoid derailleur problems by switching to Farnham's bike mid-way through the race.  In Farnham's race the pair perfected their system, with Pearson handing Farnham a clean bike every lap.  Farnham started towards the back of his group and steadily worked his way forward, ending in 7th place.   On Sunday Pearson struggled with the descent and dropped his chain 3 times, winding up 10th our of 12th.  (He might have been distracted by the 8 bikini clad women who were racing in 40 degree weather).  Farnham again started out in midpack and worked his way up, ending in 6th place, just seconds behind #5.
